A big plus is the included of 4 turns per year! It creates some interesting scenarios that didnвЂ™t happen on the old/original one. And as a last touch, lets just increase that вЂother incomeвЂ™ so that they get an extra bump to afford it.

And you donвЂ™t want them to send some stacks of levies at you, nooo, some real trained warriors. And you want them, as big empires, to have massive armies. The big guys are the ones you want to fight, like Cartage and Egypt. It just gives the world a more immersive feeling, you know what I mean? The last one is important though: It fixes the bug with having 40 units in your army.

I prefer вЂrealвЂ™ images instead of those 2D art ones. WHY: Some nice touch to the cities and the unit cards. ItвЂ™s a must for that clash of your 40 armies as you zoom in and look at them have at it. WHY: ItвЂ™s one thing to have the campaign map looking good. Who doesnвЂ™t want it good looking after all these years? And it is not heavy for my 960 GTX card either! Win-Win! WHY: I love the way the changes this does to how the game looks. Even better when you see вЂyour equalвЂ™ on the AI side standing at your borders ready for you. WHY: Nice touch to see your generals and their wifes age and change over the course of all that playtime. I want to see some gauls or germanic tribes seize a moment while my armies were fighting of Carthage in the Iberian peninsula.

Not anymore.ДЇor anyone interested, here is my mod list. I had a hard time to see the borders sometimes. Makes battle maps a bit more varied by adding different conditions. Beware: The main mod requires 'Proper Effects Addon', but there is a separate SFO-version (see first mod in this table).ДЄnother graphical mod. If you own Blood for the Blood God DLC I highly recommend CBE l Cinematic Battle Effects Blood Addon as well. Most notably arrow trails and smoke, but some others, too. The mod is big and requires its assets (separate subscription). Game feels very 'fresh' (for a lack of better word) with it. Its such a simple, yet mega effective change. Makes all banners (these unit and faction icons) prettier. Replaces that annoying 'Every faction hates me once I play a little' with a better thought out mechanic. It depends on its Framework which is a separate mod, so remember to have that, too. It gives you better faction specific victory conditions instead of the generic ones. Meaning, it touches a a lot of aspects in the game. I do run a few more mods than listed in my campaign, but I think these are among the best: Mod+Link Think we missed one?
